After a series of fantastic webinars on music, preaching and leadership in intergenerational church, intergenerational spaces beyond Sundays and intergenerational small groups, we knew we couldn’t stop there. So, we are having some more, the next one being on the theme of storytelling in intergenerational church.
This will be on Wednesday 17th June 2026, 7.30-9pm and we’ll again be using zoom. For this we are delighted to be joined by our special guests Jennie Fytche, Gemma Gillard and Peter Levenstrong. We’re confident that their input will lead to some stimulating discussion as we explore together the power of intergenerational storytelling.
Guest Speakers
Gemma Gillard
Founder & CEO of Truth Be Told: an intergenerational storytelling charity. ” Our stories are modern day parables that connect people of all ages, cultures and abilities. They combat loneliness with the hope of the gospel by inviting everyone to belong together. Just as God intended.”
Gemma moved from publishing to charity work before giving up the London life to start a storytelling business and has been writing stories and bespoke storytelling sessions ever since. She also works for other clients as a consultant including Out of the Ark Music and The Church of England.
Jennie Fytche
UK Mentor for Out of the Box: “OutoftheBox is a way of using stories and play to facilitate a search for wisdom and wellbeing for people of all ages. We help you rediscover the power of stories and play to open the imagination and awaken the soul.”
Jennie has spent her career working with children and young people in the NHS, within charities supporting churches, in the social care sector and in primary schools. Jennie trains and mentors in pastoral care, listening skills, children’s and youth work and bereavement care.
Peter Levenstrong
Associate Rector at St. Gregory of Nyssa Church in San Francisco, California. Peter’s new book, Collaborative Sermons, is a guide that reimagines the traditional sermon as an intergenerational, participatory experience. Adhering to the Revised Common Lectionary, it transforms the Liturgy of the Word into a communal exploration of scripture, which uses tactile storytelling materials, open-ended wondering questions, and facilitator-guided conversations to invite participants of all ages to co-create the sermon.
It will be a relaxed online networking webinar for everyone interested in intergenerational ministry and church. We will have rich input from our three guest speakers, time to discuss in small groups, a Q&A session with the panel, and updates on all things intergenerational.
Booking for this webinar is now open. Recordings of our previous webinars are available on our website to give you a flavour of what to expect. Perhaps you could use some of the content to engage your teams in further thinking around the topics covered.
Save the date for another one – Thursday 14th October 2026, 7.30-9pm. Further details to be confirmed in due course.
If you’ve got particular questions or topics you’d like to be covered in future webinars then please get in touch with us.
We look forward to seeing you then.
